Role Summary
We are looking for a dynamic Agricultural Specialist who combines strong theoretical knowledge with practical insights. You’ll serve as a vital link between on-ground agricultural practices and our AI-based systems—helping shape innovations that genuinely meet the needs of farmers.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide agri-advisory support to farmers regarding crops, pests, fertilizers, soil health, and sustainable farming practices.
• Translate scientific or technical data into simple, actionable language for diverse farming communities.
• Offer feedback from field interactions to refine AI product development.
• Help curate and maintain a robust knowledge repository of frequently asked questions and field observations.
• Assist with field trials, data collection, and validation of AI-driven solutions.
Required Qualifications
• B.Sc. in Agriculture from a recognized university.
• Sound knowledge of agronomy, soil science, pest management, and crop production.
• Strong communication skills in English and at least one regional language.
• Active listening, empathy, and the ability to build trust with farmers.
• Enthusiasm for working in a tech-enabled agriculture environment.
Desirable Skills
• Experience with farmer helplines, agri-advisory services, or Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).
• Exposure to agri-tech platforms, ICT tools, or field-based rural development.
• Familiarity with documenting field insights for both technical and non-technical teams.
• Comfortable with remote communication tools and digital collaboration.
